The movements called the "My Voice, My Choice" initiative an attempt to impose abortion legalization in EU countries.

The organizations "One of Us" and tthe Polish Federation of Pro-Life movements have opposed the European Parliament resolution "My Voice, My Choice," stating that this is an attempt to impose the legalization of abortions in EU countries and undermine the value of human life. This is reported by ekai.pl website.

Representatives of the European Federation for Life and Dignity "One of Us" and the Polish Federation of Pro-Life movements sent an appeal to the European Commission Representation in Poland, where they expressed strong disagreement with the document. It emphasizes that the resolution effectively imposes on European Union countries a model of financing abortions from the pan-European budget.

President of the Polish Pro-Life Federation Jakub Baltroszewicz reminded that the 2012 "One of Us" initiative received significantly greater support from European citizens than the current one, with fewer financial resources.

Activists claim that adopting new measures in support of the "My Voice, My Choice" initiative instead of the already recognized "One of Us" project turns the European Citizens' Initiative into a formality and undermines trust in democratic procedures in the EU.

They called on the European Commission to stop funding programs related to promoting abortions and direct funds to support families, mothers in difficult circumstances, and protect human life from the moment of conception.

As the UOJ reported, Greek Church bishops criticized the EU plan to finance abortions.
