37,000 free meals prepared by UOC parish in Kropyvnytskyi in 2025
Parishioners of the Annunciation Church of the Kirovohrad Eparchy have been providing daily hot meals to local residents and displaced persons since the beginning of the war.
The UOC's charity continues to actively develop in the regions of Ukraine: in 2025, in Kropyvnytskyi, parishioners of the Annunciation Church prepared more than 37 thousand free meals for those in need, as reported by the eparchy's press service.
Since 2014, the church has been daily preparing and distributing food to all who need support. After the beginning of full-scale hostilities, the number of beneficiaries significantly increased – internally displaced persons also began coming here.
Since March 2022, the community has distributed more than 145 thousand meals. "Everything begins with prayer, and only then – with food distribution," the parishioners emphasize.
At the end of 2022, a tent for heating during the winter period was installed on the church grounds. The faithful note that this is especially important for people deprived of permanent housing. The community is also supported by local benefactors and volunteers who bring products and help with food preparation.
As the UOJ reported, in 2025 the UOC Social Department allocated 3 million hryvnias for charity.
