US chief rabbi: Together with OCU chaplains, we are Ukraine’s spiritual megaphone
Moshe Reuven Asman spoke at an event organized by Ambassador Olha Stefanishyna.
On February 3, 2026, the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States organized a rally near the U.S. Congress, at which Ambassador Olha Stefanishyna urged the American administration to provide weapons and tighten sanctions against Russia.
Among those present were also representatives of Ukraine’s religious communities – Jews and members of the OCU. Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi Moshe Reuven Asman posted photographs from the event together with “priest” Oleh Sknar. He stated that Jews together with OCU chaplains are “Ukraine’s spiritual megaphone,” and promised that they would “reach every good heart in Washington and the United States.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Oleh Sknar, together with Asman, lit a Jewish menorah near his Intercession of the Mother of God church in Kyiv.
