In Konotop, UOC church and eparchial administration damaged by shelling

A blast wave shattered the windows and damaged the domes and buildings on the territory of the All Saints parish and the administration of the Konotop Eparchy.

On the night of February 4, 2026, as a result of shelling of the town of Konotop, Sumy region, church buildings of the Konotop Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged. This was reported by the eparchy's press service.

The All Saints Church was damaged by the shelling. The blast wave shattered windows, damaged domes, and also disfigured a nearby building on the territory of the church complex. The building of the eparchial administration also sustained damage.

"Thank God, there were no casualties," the message reads.

The eparchy expressed gratitude to the employees of the State Emergency Service, who promptly arrived at the scene of the fire and timely localized the blaze, preventing even greater destruction.

In connection with the damage inflicted, believers and all concerned individuals are asked to provide feasible assistance in restoring the All Saints Church and the eparchial administration building.

As the UOJ reported, the Dormition Monastery of the UOC in Odesa was damaged by shelling.
