St. Panteleimon’s Church robbed and set on fire in Zhytomyr

Intruders robbed and set fire to the hospital Church of the Great Martyr Panteleimon in Zhytomyr to cover up the crime.
On the night of September 23, 2022, unknown offenders robbed and set fire to St. Panteleimon’s Church on the grounds of City Hospital № 2 in Zhytomyr. This was reported by Archpriest Viktor Golubovsky on the Zhytomyr Eparchy FB page.
The criminals broke into the church, took donations and the rector's pectoral cross, and set fire to the altar. The fire damaged the altar part of the church. The altar was burnt out and the church utensils were damaged.
Members of the parish council filed a report with the police.
As earlier reported, unidentified men in uniform robbed a cathedral and beat up a UOC priest in Mariupol.
