Kharkiv Eparchy clergy serve funeral service for those killed in Bohodukhiv
UOC clergy served a memorial service for the victims of the tragedy in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv Region.
On February 13, 2026, clergy of the Kharkiv Eparchy performed the lity for the dead rite – the Orthodox funeral service – for residents of the city of Bohodukhiv who died as a result of the tragic event on February 11, the eparchy’s press service reported.
The service was held with the blessing of Metropolitan Onufriy of Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv. The funeral service was served by the eparchy’s clergy, led by Archpriest Stepan Buhyr.
After the service, a priest conveyed the hierarch’s words of condolence and support to the pregnant wife of the man who was killed together with their children. The faithful offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the departed and for consolation for their family.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Metropolitan of Kharkiv expressed condolences over the tragedy in Bohodukhiv, where a strike on a residential building killed civilians, including children.
