AFU awards priest of UOC Khust Eparchy with order
Archpriest Vasyl Melesh received the distinction "Cross of the Ranger Warrior" III degree for spiritual support of Ukrainian soldiers.
A priest of the Khust Eparchy of the UOC, Archpriest Vasyl Melesh, received the distinction award "Cross of the Ranger Warrior" III degree from the 68th Separate Ranger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The award was presented by order of the brigade commander Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Tretyak. This was reported by the eparchy's press service.
Father Vasyl is the rector of the Holy Presentation Church in the village of Roztoka and the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Podobovets. The military personnel noted his constant spiritual support, active civic position, and contribution to strengthening the morale of the personnel.
As emphasized in the brigade, the award became a sign of gratitude to the clergyman who provides assistance to Ukrainian defenders through prayer, pastoral word, and concrete good deeds.
The eparchy congratulated Father Vasyl on the high award, wishing him strength, spiritual joy, and further labors for the glory of God and for the benefit of Ukraine.
As the UOJ wrote, the border troops of Ukraine awarded a clergyman of the UOC's Volyn Eparchy.
