In the village of Paseka in Transcarpathia, believers discussed the future fate of their church.

On March 1, 2026, parishioners of the Michael community of the UOC in the village of Pasika in Transcarpathia gathered to decide on the future of their church. This was reported by the local publication Transcarpathia.news.

The meeting was held to clarify the opinion of believers regarding the further jurisdiction of the religious community and to determine the legal status of the church building, since two days earlier the rector Vitaliy Lychak had defected to the OCU. Following the voting results, the community decided that the church would continue to remain under the jurisdiction of the Mukachevo Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

A new rector has been appointed to the parish.

As the UOJ reported, a UOC chapel built by a AFU serviceman consecrated in Tsyhanivtsi, Transcarpathia.
