The Ukrainian Orthodox Church will provide assistance to people fleeing the war abroad.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry discussed areas of social and humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees in Germany with former MP, and protodeacon Vadym Novinsky, the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony, the head of the External Church Relations, Metropolitan Meletiy, as well as Metropolitan Longin of Bancheni and Archbishop Euseviy of Shepetivka and Slavuta, reports Vadym Novinsky on his Facebook page.
"In times of hardship, the Church has never forgotten its social role. <... >At the moment, there are about one million citizens of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church cannot leave their problems without attention," the protodeacon said.
