The session of the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal was scheduled for March 5, 2026.

On March 5, 2026, a session of the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal in the case concerning the use of the Lower Lavra did not take place. The hearing was removed from the docket due to the judge’s illness.

This was reported by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra’s attorney, Archpriest Nikita Chekman. Earlier, the human-rights advocate had called on the faithful to pray and offer support.

As the UOJ previously reported, this is not the first time proceedings have been disrupted for this reason. On December 18, 2025, after a judge unexpectedly went on sick leave an hour before the hearing, the court session on the eviction of monks from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was postponed.
