At an iftar in Kyiv, authors of expert assessments against the UOC were awarded Islamic orders in the presence of the deputy head of DESS and a "hierarch" of Dumenko's structure.

On March 10, 2026, a ceremonial iftar (evening meal during the month of Ramadan) took place at the main mosque of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine (RAMU) "Umma," attended by a DESS official, a representative of the OCU, and religious scholars, reports the official page of the RAMU "Umma" on Facebook.

During the event, the Muslim community of Kyiv was congratulated by the first deputy chairman of DESS Viktor Voinalovych. Also present at the ceremonial dinner were "experts" Oleksandr Sahan and Liudmyla Fylypovych. During ceremonial iftars, the RAMU "Umma" awards figures who have contributed to the development and support of Ukraine's Muslim community. In this connection, the “experts,” known for their participation in the DESS examinations, based on which the authorities adopt restrictive measures against the UOC, were awarded the "Al-Fida" order.

According to published photographs, among the iftar guests was also OCU "bishop" Efrem Khomiak. He was seated at tables together with other participants who gathered to "share the joy of completing another day of fasting with friends, relatives, and acquaintances."

The participation of OCU representatives and government officials in joint meals and celebrations of other religions has become a systemic phenomenon. Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held an iftar as part of Ramadan.
