I feel physically unwell from UOC prayers, state media editor
"Suspilne" Editor-in-Chief Inna Biletska was outraged by the sounds of UOC liturgy in the center of Rivne.
An employee of the state media "Suspilne" Inna Biletskaya publicly attacked believers and clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on her Facebook page. The reason for the editor's harsh statements was the broadcast of Sunday service from the Resurrection Cathedral of the UOC in Rivne.
The media official stated that Orthodox prayers and hymns "torture," "frighten," and "traumatize" her. In her message, she admitted that she feels physically unwell when she hears the church exclamation "Lord, have mercy." In addition, Biletska expressed dissatisfaction with having to "put up with" the presence of UOC clergy and parishioners near her.
The person responsible for the editorial policy of the state broadcaster also accused believers of the canonical Church of praying to a "Moscow god." In conclusion of her opus, the state TV editor directly called on authorities to take away the speakers from the religious community.
Representatives of state structures and journalists loyal to the authorities systematically use hate speech against the UOC, creating grounds for further seizures of churches and discrimination against believers. Earlier, the UOJ wrote about their reaction to accusations of inciting religious hatred.
