Representatives of the UGCC and the OCU held a joint prayer procession for Ukraine in the Rivne region.

On March 21, 2026, a joint procession involving representatives of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church of Ukraine took place in the town of Radyvyliv in the Rivne region. This was reported on the UGCC website.

The UGCC said that during the procession, clergy and faithful from different confessions prayed for victory and peace in Ukraine.

The prayer march was led by UGCC Exarch of Lutsk Yosafat Hovera and Bishop-Assistant of the Kolomyia Eparchy of the UGCC Petro Holinei. Participants prayed before an icon of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr the Great containing relics of the Baptizer of Rus’.

The procession was attended by seminarians of the Ternopil Theological Seminary, as well as representatives of UGCC parishes from the town of Brody and the village of Kovpyn-Stavok. Representatives of neighboring OCU communities also joined the march.

At the end of the procession, a prayer service was held at the UGCC Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, where prayers were offered for Ukraine, for the military, and for an end to the war.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Oleksandr Alferov, head of the Institute of National Memory, had described the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra as a shared shrine for Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians.
