Russian drone hits building near UGCC church in central Lviv
Russian attack drones struck a historic building on Lviv’s central square.
On March 24, 2026, Russia attacked Lviv with strike drones. One of them hit a building near St. Andrew’s UGCC Church, according to local sources.
The damaged building is part of the historic complex of the former Bernardine Catholic monastery, a Franciscan congregation that was shut down in Soviet times. The UGCC community said that St. Andrew’s Church itself, as well as its bell tower, also sustained damage.
As the UOJ previously reported, 395 UOC churches have been damaged by shelling since the start of the war.
