Kyrylo Budanov said he hopes Ukrainian prisoners of war will return home by Easter and outlined the work of the coordination headquarters.

Ukraine is preparing another large-scale prisoner exchange to coincide with the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ. This was announced by Presidential Office chief Kyrylo Budanov during a meeting with the families of captured servicemen.

Budanov thanked the mothers, fathers, and wives of the servicemen for their endurance and “boundless love.”

“Your pain, your faith, and your daily struggle are the compass that gives us no right to grow weary and does not allow us to stop,” he said.

According to Budanov, more than 70 exchanges have been carried out during the work of the coordination headquarters, resulting in the return of over 8,500 people.

“I very much hope that on Easter we will all witness a major exchange – and we will do everything necessary to make it happen,” the official said, assuring relatives that negotiations continue without interruption and that further releases are inevitable.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Presidential Office chief noted Filaret’s contribution to the “restoration” of the OCU.
