The president said Ukraine was ready to consider any format of ceasefire, including an “energy truce” and a halt to strikes on infrastructure.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Kyiv is prepared to discuss a full ceasefire, including during the Easter period. Speaking to journalists, the head of state stressed that Ukraine remains open to various de-escalation formats, including those related to food and energy security.

“We are ready – so that neither missiles nor drones fly. Not to strike infrastructure. We have proposed all of this. And we are open. If the Russians are ready, we are ready as well,” Zelensky said.

He added that if the opposing side puts forward an initiative for any period of time, Ukraine would be ready to consider it.

Zelensky also outlined the conditions for what he described as an “energy truce.” According to him, if Russia refrains from striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukraine will not carry out retaliatory strikes. He emphasized that Kyiv is ready for a ceasefire provided that “full silence truly takes hold,” and said Ukraine would act on a reciprocal basis.

As previously reported by the UOJ, Zelensky earlier announced the dismantling of an “agent network” within religious organizations.
