The head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church expressed support for John X in connection with the ongoing violence in Syria and Lebanon.

Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel sent a message of solidarity to the Primate of the Antiochian Orthodox Church Patriarch John X. This was reported on March 31, 2026, on the official page of the Antiochian Patriarchate on Facebook.

In his address, the head of the Bulgarian Church expressed deep sympathy with the Antiochian Church in connection with the severe trials that have befallen the faithful in the region.

Patriarch Daniel emphasized that the Bulgarian people empathize with Christians suffering from armed conflicts. "I express to you my solidarity and support in connection with the violence to which the Christians of Syria are subjected, and the military actions in Lebanon," the text of the message states. The head of the Bulgarian Church noted that he prays to the Almighty that the Lord would "open eyes and grant peace."

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Patriarch Daniel supported the Jerusalem Church due to shelling in Israel.
