Greek authorities prepare special aircraft for Holy Fire transportation
Greek authorities have prepared the prime minister’s aircraft to bring the Holy Fire from Jerusalem.
The Greek government has placed a state aircraft on standby to transport the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Athens, Orthodoxia News Agency reports.
According to the agency, a decision has already been made to use the prime minister’s aircraft for the mission. On board will be Archimandrite Ieronymos, Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre, who will accompany the Holy Fire to Greece.
At the same time, the Greek government has confirmed its intention to deliver the Holy Fire on schedule, provided no extraordinary circumstances arise that could affect the flight.
Thus, Athens remains ready to ensure the arrival of the Holy Fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the faithful of Greece.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Israeli authorities would facilitate the delivery of the Holy Fire to the Local Churches.
