Court hearing on Upper Lavra case postponed
A court hearing on the Upper Lavra case was postponed due to a prolonged air raid alert.
On April 2, 2026, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal in Kyiv adjourned consideration of the case brought by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery of the UOC regarding its right to use the churches of the Upper Lavra, according to the Telegram channel “Fortetsia Lavra.” The latest delay was caused by an extended air raid alert.
As previously reported, legal proceedings over the Lavra brotherhood’s right to use the Dormition Cathedral and the Refectory Church have been ongoing since 2023.
