Metropolitan Varsonofiy's secretary detained by TRC in Vinnytsia released
Archimandrite Filaret (Olivinsky) has been released and returned to service after data verification.
A cleric of the Vinnytsia Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Filaret (Olivinsky), who was previously detained by TRC officers, has been released and returned to his duties. This was reported by the eparchial press service.
It is noted that after clarifying all necessary data at the Territorial Recruitment Center on April 9, the clergyman was released. Currently, Father Filaret continues his ministry at the Brailiv Monastery and also carries out obediences in the eparchial administration.
The eparchy expressed gratitude to all who supported the cleric during this period.
"We sincerely thank everyone for their support, prayers and caring attitude toward Father Filaret during this time," the statement reads.
It should be recalled that on the evening of April 7 in Vinnytsia, Archimandrite Filaret (Olivinsky), Metropolitan Varsonofiy's secretary, was detained by TRC officials.
