Parishioners of two more communities of the Chernivtsi Eparchy of the UOC celebrated the Resurrection of Christ in repurposed premises.

On April 12, 2026, believers from the persecuted Bukovynian UOC parishes of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Chornohuzy and St. Nicholas in the village of Vyzhenka took part in Paschal services held in makeshift premises, according to a post by faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy on Facebook.

Around 200 believers attended the Paschal service in Chornohuzy, while about 100 gathered for the blessing of baskets in the village of Vyzhenka.

“The festal service was led by Mitred Archpriest Antonii Fedorashchak – the spiritual father of both communities, who together with his flock bears the difficult cross of trials,” the statement said.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that persecuted UOC parishes in the Chernivtsi Eparchy had marked Pascha under challenging conditions.
