Show with OCU cleric cancelled due to negative public reaction
Comedian Dmytro Tiutiun accused the UOC of creating resonance around the controversial statements of his guest.
On April 16, 2026, the host of the Youtube show "Unserious Conversation" Dmytro Tiutiun announced in his video address on Instagram the cancellation of the next episode featuring OCU cleric Ruslan Usmedynsky.
Dmitry explained this decision by stating that his guest's statements caused extremely negative resonance in religious circles. The stand-up comedian acknowledged that "some of the takes Ruslan talked about were received negatively" and this was expected.
The host stated that he doesn't want people to "lose their jobs" because of his show, so the second episode had to be "put on pause."
At the same time, Tiutiun attempted to shift responsibility for the resonance onto the canonical Church. He accused the UOC of "discrediting the OCU" and Ruslan himself, claiming that Usmedynsky's words were allegedly "taken out of context."
The stand-up comedian accompanied these accusations with a screenshot of a UOJ publication that covered the scandalous advice from the "priest" to use church vestments for sex games.
The comedian reinforced his argumentation with a stream of dirty profanity directed at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, harshly demanding its immediate ban and liquidation.
Earlier, UOJ reported that an OCU cleric left the structure due to "disagreement with Epifaniy's methods".
