Epifaniy discusses OCU development with head of Zaporizhzhia RMA
Dumenko and Ivan Fedorov agreed on consolidating the efforts of the authorities and the religious organization.
On April 18, 2026, the head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko held a meeting at his residence with the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA Ivan Fedorov, reports the OCU press service.
The parties discussed issues of spiritual and public life in the region, touching on the topic of OCU "development" and support for this structure's initiatives in the region. Dumenko and the official decided to unite the efforts of the state and the Church to work with the population under wartime conditions.
During the conversation, the meeting participants addressed the topic of educating the younger generation. Epifaniy and Fedorov plan to develop a network of Sunday schools to form a "new elite of society."
The meeting also discussed commemorating fallen servicemen and the "spiritual restoration" of communities in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Dumenko discussed with the British ambassador the "transfers" of UOC communities to the OCU.
