In the Transcarpathian village of Pasika, the faithful have once again affirmed their commitment to the UOC.

On April 19, 2026, parishioners of St. Michael’s Church of the UOC in the village of Pasika, Transcarpathian Region, held a general meeting of the religious community, according to the Dozor Telegram channel. The meeting was prompted by yet another attempt by supporters of the OCU to raise the issue of transferring the church to their jurisdiction.

During the vote, the village’s Orthodox Christians once again unanimously reaffirmed their decision to remain in the bosom of the canonical Church. The faithful stressed that they remain loyal to the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy.

In February, the church’s former rector, Vitaliy Lychak, left the Church and joined Epifaniy’s structure. Despite the priest’s departure, the community had already decided at that time to remain within the UOC. Today’s meeting showed that the parishioners’ position has remained unchanged.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the authorities in Sloviansk had transferred the UOC cathedral to the OCU.
