UOC volunteers deliver 550 Easter cakes to needy residents of frontline areas
Volunteers from the UOC’s Parasolka movement delivered Easter aid to residents of frontline territories, as well as to the homeless, displaced persons, pensioners, and children in boarding institutions.
On April 19, 2026, members of the Orthodox volunteer movement "Parasolka" delivered Paschal aid to residents of frontline settlements and other people in need, according to the movement’s Telegram channel.
It is reported that, ahead of Pascha, the volunteers were able to purchase and distribute 550 Easter cakes with the support of Archbishop Iona (Cherepanov) of Obukhiv, Serhii Ryzhkov, their followers, and other caring supporters.
Part of the aid was sent to frontline towns in the Donetsk region: 100 Easter cakes were delivered to Sloviansk, 150 to Druzhkivka, and another 100 to frontline villages in the area. The remaining 200 were distributed to the homeless, displaced persons, pensioners, children in boarding institutions, and other needy people.
The volunteers stressed that the campaign was made possible through the joint efforts of benefactors and movement participants, and expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in fundraising and organizing the aid.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that UOC clergy had delivered Easter gifts to the Lukyanivka pretrial detention center.
