UOC clergy in Poltava deliver aid to hospitals and social centers
Priests and volunteers of the “Blaho” center visited social institutions in Poltava, congratulated people on Easter, and delivered humanitarian aid to those in need.
On April 23, 2026, in Poltava, clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, together with volunteers, carried out charitable visits to the city’s social and medical institutions and delivered humanitarian assistance, the press service of the Poltava Eparchy reports.
The initiative involved Archpriest Andriy Symon, head of the eparchial department for social ministry, Hieromonk Paisiy, and volunteers from the “Blaho” center. They visited several institutions, including the regional clinical hospital’s children’s mental health center, a social rehabilitation center, the regional mother and child center, departments of the city children’s hospital, and facilities assisting the homeless.
The clergy congratulated the staff, children, and adults on Easter, spoke about the spiritual meaning of the Resurrection of Christ, and wished them joy, peace, love, strengthening in faith, as well as physical and spiritual healing.
During the visits, humanitarian aid collected with the support of benefactors was distributed. Recipients received food, clothing, hygiene products, bedding, household items, toys, and other essential supplies.
The visits were held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, and participants expressed gratitude for the support provided. Assistance with transporting the humanitarian cargo was provided by the company “Avtomir Plus.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a UOC parish in Vyshhorod had sent aid to residents of frontline areas.
