61 part-time KDAiS students graduate with Bachelor’s degrees
Diplomas were awarded in the academic church to students who successfully completed part-time studies at the Kyiv Theological Schools.
On May 14, 2026, the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary held celebrations marking the graduation of fourth-year part-time students, according to the official KDAiS website.
The festive day began with the Divine Liturgy in the academic church dedicated to St. John of Damascus at the Holy Protection Monastery in Holosiiv.
The service was led by Archbishop Amvrosiy of Zghurivka, KDAiS vice-rector for educational work. Concelebrating with him were Archimandrite Afanasiy (Streltsov), head of the part-time department; members of the administration and faculty; and graduates in holy orders.
Students and seminarians of the theological schools, pilgrims of the monastery, and parishioners of the church prayed at the Liturgy.
After the Liturgy, Archbishop Amvrosiy addressed the graduates with words of guidance on behalf of the academy’s rector, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka. Speaking on behalf of the students, class monitor Deacon Bohdan Zabolotnyi expressed sincere gratitude to the mentors for the years of study.
The culmination of the celebration was the presentation of educational documents: this year, 61 students received bachelor’s diplomas from the Kyiv Theological Seminary.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry performed the tonsure of fourth-year KDAiS students as readers.
