House Church of Apostle John the Theologian consecrated in Mala Vilshanka
The rite of minor consecration of the church in the Kyiv region was performed by Archbishop Iona.
Archbishop Iona of Bucha performed the minor consecration of a house church of the Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in the village of Mala Vilshanka, Kyiv region, on May 24, 2026. The hierarch wrote about this on his Facebook page.
The rite of consecration and divine service were held at the invitation of the rector, Archpriest Alexey Volkov. Participating in prayer were the dean of the Bucha Deanery, Archpriest Andriy Breha, and Archpriest Valery Bozhok.
The house church is intended for conducting divine services during the winter period. During the warm season, the religious community performs prayers in the Dormition Church of the village.
As the UOJ reported, Archbishop Viktor consecrated a new church in the Odesa Eparchy.
