UOC church destroyed by shelling in Ulanove, Sumy region
The Dormition Church of the Konotop Eparchy was almost completely destroyed by shelling.
In the village of Ulanove, Esman community, Sumy region, the Dormition Church of the Konotop Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was destroyed as a result of Russian shelling.
According to local outlet Hlukhiv.City, citing the head of the Esman community, Serhiy Minakov, the exact time of the strike cannot yet be established, as the settlement is under constant attack.
Because of the ongoing shelling, the scale of the destruction could only be recorded during remote monitoring of the border area.
According to reports, a direct hit completely pierced the church’s concrete ceiling, after which it collapsed inside the building.
At present, virtually only the damaged walls remain of the Dormition Church.
As the UOJ reported, the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of the UOC in Snovsk was also damaged by shelling.
