In Kyiv, Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh damaged by shelling
In Kyiv’s Solomianskyi District, shelling shattered the windows of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh and several parish buildings. No casualties were reported.
On June 2, 2026, as a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, a temple complex of Saint Sergius of Radonezh in the Solomenskyi district of the capital was damaged, reports the official Telegram channel of the UOC.
As reported by the Kyiv Eparchy, on the night of June 2, Kyiv and the region were struck with missiles and drones. One of the affected sites was the territory of the Sergius parish.
As a result of the shelling, windows were blown out in the church and parish buildings, and the facade of the complex was damaged. The premises where people were located were particularly affected.
According to the eparchy's information, there were no casualties. At the moment of the attack, none of the parishioners or clergy were injured.
An assessment of the consequences of the shelling is currently underway on the parish grounds, and the extent of the damage is being determined.
