The Rector of KDAiS Archbishop Sylvester performed the rite of minor consecration of the temple and led the festive Liturgy.
On June 11, 2026, in the village of Novoselki, Fastov district, Kiev region, the rite of minor consecration of a church in honor of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous took place. By the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius, the celebration was headed by the rector of the Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary, Archbishop Sylvester of Belgorod. This was reported by the press service of KTAaS.
Before the Divine Liturgy, His Grace performed the blessing of water, censing of the premises and sprinkled the entire building with holy water. The Archbishop was concelebrated by the secretary of the Primate of the UOC, Archpriest Vladimir Yakovchuk, the dean of the Goloseyevsky district, Archpriest Pavel Kirillov, and the rector of the church, Archpriest Anthony Demidenko. At the conclusion of the service, Archbishop Sylvester addressed the faithful with a sermon and called down God's blessing upon the community.
On behalf of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius, the hierarch presented the rector with the Order of Saint Job of Pochaev for zealous service to the canonical Church. Archpriest Anthony thanked His Grace for the archpastoral visit, the consecration of the church and the opportunity for joint prayer at the altar.
