Vance criticizes "progressive atheist culture"
He pointed to the double standards of left-wing politicians who mock belief in the Resurrection of Christ.
JD Vance sharply criticized modern “progressive atheistic culture,” saying left-wing activists are biased against people of faith, Fox News reports.
According to him, representatives of the political left often call adherents of traditional religious dogmas “crazy.” “If you believe that Jesus is the son of God, rose from the dead on the third day, there are a lot of progressives who will say you're a crazy person,” the politician emphasized.
At the same time, he drew attention to what he described as an obvious paradox in his opponents’ worldview. Vance noted that the same people who laugh at Christianity unquestioningly accept the possibility of a man becoming a woman through hormone drugs. “Actually, you believe something that's far crazier and clearly a violation of nature,” the Republican summarized.
The politician also spoke candidly about his journey from atheism to Christianity. He admitted that during his period of unbelief he considered himself better than other people, but later realized that such an attitude did not bring happiness or make him a better person. In Vance’s view, every person seeks a higher purpose, and the Christian faith is the “healthiest way” to find true meaning in life.
He warned the public against trying to find meaning solely in politics or material things, calling it a path toward personal distortion.
As the UOJ reported, Vance called Christianity the foundation of American statehood.
