Polish company to allocate €1 million for restoration of St. Nicholas Church
Polimex Mostostal will provide equipment for emergency stabilization work at St. Nicholas Church in Kyiv.
The RCC parish of St. Nicholas has signed an agreement with the Polish company Polimex Mostostal to begin the restoration of St. Nicholas Church in Kyiv. This was reported by the parish FB page.
The Polish side will provide scaffolding and equipment for indefinite free use, as well as cover the costs of their manufacture, transportation, and installation. The project is estimated at €1 million, while the Ukrainian side is handling the required permits.
A letter of intent was also signed with PZU SA to create an initiative group called the “Rescue Coalition for St. Nicholas Church.”
The agreements were reached during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026. The initiative is aimed at bringing together international partners for the further restoration of the church. The parish noted that these arrangements are only the first practical step in a long process.
As the UOJ reported, St. Nicholas Church in Kyiv was officially transferred to the Roman Catholic parish for free use for a period of 50 years in early January 2026.
