Thousands of Muslims march in the US to mark Islamic holiday

In Dearborn, Michigan, a march of thousands of Islamists took place under slogans of "retribution."

On June 28, 2026, in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, approximately 4,000 Shia Muslims held the 12th annual Ashura March, during which participants waved Hezbollah flags and chanted radical slogans. This was reported by Life Site News.

The "March for Justice on Ashura" flooded the streets of the city, which is home to the largest Muslim community in the United States. Thousands of demonstrators dressed in black marched through downtown Dearborn, chanting "Allahu Akbar" and Arabic slogans.

March participants carried flags of Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah. Placards held by protesters bore calls for the "liberation of Palestine" and threats: "Your days are numbered — justice is coming" and "We do not bow before tyrants." Notably, American flags were entirely absent from the event.

Local politicians, including Michigan State Representative Alabas Farhat, supported the event, calling it "a powerful reminder of the struggle against oppression." At the same time, American commentators stated that such footage proves migrants' unwillingness to assimilate into Western society and their desire to "conquer" it.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, Muslims in Canada released a guide against Islamophobia.
