The Antiochian Church Has Launched an Online Map of All Its Parishes Worldwide
The Antiochian Patriarchate has consolidated information about all its ecclesiastical structures into a single interactive project.
The Antiochian Church has launched the first-ever interactive project "Antiochian Global Reach," which displays the geographical presence of the Church on all continents. This was reported by the Antiochian Patriarchate on Facebook.
The project was created with the blessing of Patriarch of Antioch John X and was timed to coincide with the Church's feast of the patron saint. The first version of the platform already contains more than 85% of all the necessary data on the structures of the Patriarchate. Going forward, the registry is planned to be regularly updated with current information submitted by the dioceses and communities themselves.
The interactive map covers not only churches but also administrative centers, as well as various institutions under the jurisdiction of the Antiochian Church.
The Patriarchate noted that "Antiochian Reach" is a testament to the Church's unceasing missionary work from apostolic times to the present day. According to the authors of the idea, the project will become a "living" registry reflecting the real state of the Antiochian Church in the modern world.
As the SPJ reported, the Antiochian Patriarch called for an end to violence against Christians in Syria.
