Chernihiv Theological School Announces Student Enrollment
Chernihiv Theological School is accepting applicants to its pastoral and choral conducting departments; tuition is free, with accommodation and meals provided.
On July 2, the Chernihiv Theological School of Psalm-Readers and Choral Conductors announced enrollment of students for the 2026–2027 academic year, as reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.
The enrollment was announced with the blessing of the acting rector of the school, Archbishop Nikodim of Lyubech. The institution offers pastoral and choral conducting departments, with a three-year course of study.
The school offers full-time, dual, and correspondence forms of study. Students study free of charge and are provided with accommodation and meals; those enrolling after 9th grade may simultaneously complete their full secondary education in Chernihiv.
Document submission and online registration will run from June 25 to August 23, 2026. Entrance examinations will take place on August 24.
Applicants will be required to write an essay on a Gospel theme, undergo an interview on Holy Scripture and the fundamentals of the Orthodox faith, and demonstrate skills in church singing, reading in Church Slavonic, and knowledge of the principal Orthodox prayers.
The Union of Orthodox Journalists previously reported that the Kyiv Theological Schools began accepting documents for the new academic year.
