The Netherlands Embassy has funded a series about LGBT people in the military.

An 11-episode project about the "inclusion" of LGBT servicemembers in the military has been presented on the Ukrainian state platform "Diia.Education." The product was developed by the organization "Ukrainian LGBT Military for Equal Rights" with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Western donors.

The mini-series is aimed at commanders, officers responsible for moral and psychological support, cadets, and military psychologists. The materials promote the thesis that tolerance toward sexual minorities is an advantage for the army, while discrimination harms its combat capability.

Viewers are offered the opportunity to study the experience of implementing similar standards in the armies of NATO countries and to familiarize themselves with Ukrainian legislation in the field of protection against discrimination. Financial support for the filming was provided by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine.

The authors of the series also announce plans to "debunk stereotypes" that allegedly affect trust and safety within military units. After watching all episodes, available in Ukrainian and English, users are offered a test on the knowledge of the presented material. An official offline presentation of the project for the media is planned in Kyiv on July 16, 2026.

As the UOJ reported, Ukrainian diplomats in Ireland participated in a gay pride parade.
