The OCU head expressed confidence that Crimea would soon be liberated.

OCU head Serhii Dumenko predicted that the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations would one day hold a meeting in Crimea.

“The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations will certainly hold a meeting in Ukrainian Crimea, because truth always prevails,” Dumenko said on July 16, 2026, during celebrations marking the UCCRO’s 30th anniversary.

The event was attended by numerous politicians and religious figures, including Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Olena Kovalska, First Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and others.

Representatives of the World Council of Churches, led by General Secretary Jerry Pillay, were also present.

The UOJ previously reported that Dumenko predicted the breakup of the Russian Federation and the recognition of the OCU by the Russian Orthodox Church.
