Parishioners of the Annunciation Church of the Kirovohrad Diocese have been providing daily hot meals to local residents and internally displaced persons since the beginning of the war.

Since the beginning of 2026, the community of the cathedral church of the UOC in honor of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Kropyvnytskyi has prepared and distributed more than 18,000 charitable meals for those in need and internally displaced persons. This was reported on the parish's page.

The community noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, more than 160,000 hot meals have already been prepared and distributed at the church.

The charitable refectory has been operating daily, without days off, since the church was founded in October 2014. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the social ministry was expanded: full hot meals began to be regularly prepared not only for the low-income, but also for internally displaced persons.

Following established tradition, the distribution of charitable meals begins with a common prayer, after which all those who wish may receive a hot meal.

The parish expressed gratitude to the ktitors, benefactors, and all caring individuals whose support has allowed this social ministry to continue for more than ten years.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC parish in Kropyvnytskyi prepared 37,000 free meals in 2025.
