The Primate of the UOC Led the Patronal Feast at the Olga Cathedral in the Capital
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy awarded the honorary rector of the cathedral with the Order of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy led the solemn Divine Liturgy at the Olga Cathedral in Kyiv on the occasion of the patronal feast. This was reported by the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC.
On July 24, 2026, His Beatitude was co-served by Metropolitan Varnsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar, Metropolitan Viktor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv, Archbishop Dionisiy of Pereiaslav and Vyshnevе, Archbishop Lavr of Irpin, Archbishop Mark of Borodyanka, Bishop Arkadiy of Hostomеl, as well as the clergy of the cathedral and guests in holy orders.
During the Little Entrance, the Primate of the UOC awarded the honorary rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Vsevolod Rybchynskyi, with the Order in honor of the Pochaiv Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, His Beatitude addressed the Kyiv flock with a homily.
During the divine service, the clergy offered special petitions for deliverance from the enemy and for the preservation of those who have been left homeless due to the war. The Primate also invoked God's blessing upon people of good will who help those in need.
After the conclusion of the Liturgy, the clergy served a moleben to the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga. In conclusion, Metropolitan Onufriy congratulated the parishioners on the feast and wished them the prayerful intercession of the heavenly patroness of the cathedral.
