A massive fire destroyed a synagogue in Hadiach

In Hadiach, a massive fire destroyed the central building of a pilgrimage center and the synagogue at the grave of Rabbi Schneur Zalman. The fire almost completely destroyed the building, causing damage worth several million dollars. This was reported by COLlive.
The fire broke out late in the evening on Friday, July 24. The flames quickly engulfed the main synagogue, the mikveh, guest rooms, and dining halls. No one present at the center was injured, and staff and guests managed to rescue several Torah scrolls from the fire.
Rabbi Shneur Deutsch called the destruction of the building, into which the community had poured its life and soul, a tremendous tragedy. "We are in complete shock. The entire central building of this holy place has been reduced to ashes. The damage is simply incomprehensible — it is a profound pain. But Hasidim are not frightened by hardship. With God's help, we will find the strength to rebuild everything," he emphasized.
Rescuers cite a short circuit in the electrical system as the probable cause of the fire, although the investigation continues to examine all the circumstances of the incident. The Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine announced that it is already preparing replacements for the burned sacred books and ritual objects. Despite the extensive destruction, the community plans to restore the site and make it even more magnificent.
As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, a verdict was handed down in Kryvyi Rih against a teenager who set fire to a synagogue.
