Kirovograd Metropolitan consecrated a new church in Ivanivka
Metropolitan Mykola presented church awards to benefactors who helped in the construction of the church.
Metropolitan of Kirovograd and Novomyrhorod Mykola on July 26, 2026, performed the rite of the great consecration of the church in honor of Holy Prince Volodymyr in the village of Ivanivka and led the first Divine Liturgy in the newly created shrine. This was reported by the Kirovograd Diocese on Facebook.
During the service, the hierarch was co-served by the dean of the Novoukrainka district, Archpriest Mykhailo Naidyuk, the rector of the church, Priest Myroslav Habinet, and guests in holy orders. By the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, for his significant labors in the construction of the church, Priest Myroslav Habinet was elevated to the rank of Archpriest.
The hierarch thanked the builders and benefactors of the parish for their contribution to the creation of the church. "May this newly consecrated church become for each of you a true spiritual hospital and a quiet haven in the stormy sea of life," Metropolitan Mykola addressed the faithful. He wished the community that prayer would never cease within these walls, and that future generations would find here the path to God and peace of soul.
At the conclusion of the celebrations, the bishop presented high church awards to those who had labored especially in the construction of the shrine.
As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude consecrated a church in honor of Venerable Mykola Svyatosha in Kyiv.
