UOC priest’s home damaged in drone strike on Poltava
The home of Archpriest Kostiantyn Fisun, rector of St. Seraphim Church in Poltava, was damaged in a drone attack.
On August 1, 2026, a drone strike caused extensive damage to the home of Archpriest Kostiantyn Fisun, a cleric of the UOC’s St. Seraphim Church in Poltava. The press service of the Poltava Eparchy reported the incident.
According to the eparchy, the priest’s home sustained serious damage and now requires a complete replacement of the roof and windows.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Philip of Poltava and Myrhorod, the eparchy’s press service appealed to all those willing to help, asking them to provide whatever financial assistance they can toward restoring the priest’s home.
Donations may be transferred to a designated bank card or left at the candle shop of St. Seraphim Church in Poltava, located at 1-B Heroes of Ukraine Street.
The Poltava Eparchy thanked everyone who responds to the appeal and asked for prayers for the priest’s affected family.
As previously reported by the UOJ, several UOC churches in the Ovruch Eparchy were damaged by Russian shelling.
