KDAiS reports number of enrolled students
The Academic Council of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary has reviewed the results of the 2026 admissions campaign.
A total of 153 applicants were admitted to the Kyiv theological schools following the 2026 admissions campaign, the KDAiS press service reported.
At its meeting on August 6, 2026, the Academic Council of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary reviewed the admissions results. The meeting was chaired by KDAiS Rector Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka and attended by the entire teaching staff of the academy and seminary.
Archbishop Sylvester presented the final admissions figures. Thirty-eight students were admitted to the seminary’s full-time program, while 18 applicants were admitted to the academy. The seminary’s correspondence program accepted 62 students, while 35 were admitted to the academy’s correspondence program.
The admissions results were announced in the square outside the academy’s administrative building immediately after the council meeting. The list of applicants recommended for enrollment was read out by Archimandrite Volodymyr Tsypinio, senior assistant to the vice rector for educational work.
The cleric then met with the first-year students in a classroom, where he answered their questions about their future life at the Kyiv theological schools.
The members of the Academic Council also reviewed evaluations of a draft textbook for third-year seminary students titled Heortology. Part One.
At the end of the meeting, Archbishop Sylvester thanked the faculty members for their work during the admissions campaign.
As previously reported by the UOJ, enrollment has also opened for catechist courses at the Kyiv theological schools.
