A hotline for UOC priests on mobilization issues has been launched
The round-the-clock line operates for clergy facing forced mobilization or problems when dealing with the TCC.
The forced mobilization of UOC clergy has prompted the opening of a new round-the-clock legal assistance hotline for the clergy. This was announced by UOC lawyer Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
As the lawyer notes, the decision was made in connection with the growing number of appeals related to the forced mobilization of clergy. At the indicated phone number +38 (093) 000-84-42, UOC clergy can receive consultations on issues of mobilization, military service, as well as the protection of their rights when dealing with territorial recruitment centers (TCC), military units, and other state bodies.
The organizers clarify that upon contacting the line, a clergyman will receive initial legal consultation and recommendations on further actions. This is free assistance available at any time of day, which is especially important in situations where the decision to serve a summons or detain someone is made promptly.
As the SPJ reported, lawyers appealed to the SBI and police over the abduction of a UOC cleric in Lutsk by the TCC.
