UOC-KP "ordained" a "bishop" of Ternopil
The leader of the non-canonical group, "patriarch" Nikodim Kobzar, performed a "consecration" of a clergyman in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
The head of the UOC-KP Nikodim Kobzar performed the "consecration" of former OCU clergyman Oleksandr Nikolyshyn as "Bishop of Ternopil and Buchach." This was reported by the structure's Facebook page.
According to the publication, on August 5, 2026, Nikodim led a "liturgy" at the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Hruzevytsia, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, where Nikolyshyn serves as rector.
During the religious event, "hieromonk" Spyrydon (Oleksandr Nikolyshyn) was "consecrated" as "Bishop of Ternopil and Buchach."
As the UOJ reported, the UOC-KP elected as "bishop" a clergyman who had transferred from the OCU.
