In Vinnytsia Oblast, the traditional religious procession from Brailiv Monastery to Pochaiv Lavra has been cancelled. The prayer procession of the faithful, which was due to begin on August 19, will not take place due to the operation of martial law. This was reported by the Vinnytsia Diocese.
The Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration issued an order prohibiting the procession as part of wartime measures. The diocese called on Orthodox believers to approach the forced circumstances with understanding and responsibility.
On the feast day of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the clergy will celebrate only the festal Divine Liturgy at the Brailiv Monastery.
As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, the authorities banned the UOC religious procession in Demydivka.
