Oleksandr Kachura stated that militants who seize churches may be doing so on orders from Russian special services.

Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Kachura suggested that some of the activists attacking churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church may be connected to Russian special services. He spoke about this in an interview with Natalia Vlashchenko.

"I would not be at all surprised if these are people who are somehow listed on FSB payrolls," Kachura said. According to him, these are people who ostentatiously wear vyshyvankas, although until recently they were associated with odious political figures. "Today they are storming churches that they were told to seize as part of an assignment," the MP noted.

Kachura added that following such actions, Russian propagandists use footage of the raids as evidence of "defending Orthodoxy" from Ukraine.

As the UOJ reported, the head of the SBU department "specializing" on the UOC turned out to be an FSB agent.
