A new hearing on the Upper Lavra case will take place in Kyiv
The Northern Commercial Court of Appeal will consider the matter related to the fate of the Upper Lavra on August 26.
On August 26, 2026, a court hearing will be held in Kyiv concerning the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, specifically its Upper territory. This was announced by the monastery's lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
The hearing is scheduled for 15:00 at the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal, located at: Kyiv, 1-A Sholudenko Street.
Archpriest Nikita warns of possible provocations by opponents of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the day of the hearing. Believers are asked to remain calm, not to yield to provocative actions, and not to engage in conflicts with opponents.
The lawyer also asks for prayers for a favorable resolution of the court case.
