This was reported by the press service of the KThAaS.

Metropolitan Kliment, who heads the Educational Committee under the Holy Synod of the UOC, was co-served at the divine service by faculty members and students of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary in holy orders. Faculty members, students and pupils of the Kyiv Theological Schools, parishioners of the Academic Church and pilgrims of the Pokrovsky Monastery also prayed at the litia.

During the divine service, prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of monk Varsonofiy, who died on August 23, 2026, as a result of an attack on the monastics of the Svyatohorsk Lavra.

As the UOJ reported, a monk was brutally murdered at the Svyatohorsk Lavra and two more monastics were wounded.
